If you using wordpress i am sure you may face this problem.To resolve this issue there are diffrent methods. To increase File upload size in wordpress we can use these 4 diffrent methods.
- By using .htaccess file
- By using Theme’s Functions.php File
- By using PHP.INI file method
- By using Plugin
Take backup of .htaccess file, functions.php file or php.ini file, before doing any change. It’s important. Some methods may not support, because of wordpress versions.
First method is to add these lines in your theme function file.
1.> Theme Functions File(functions.php)
@ini_set( 'upload_max_size' , '64M' ); @ini_set( 'post_max_size', '64M'); @ini_set( 'max_execution_time', '300' );
Second method is to add the below code in your php.ini file or create a new php.ini file on your server root.
2.> Create or Edit an existing PHP.INI file
upload_max_filesize = 64M post_max_size = 64M max_execution_time = 300
Third method is to add the given code in .htaccess file inside the starting and ending tags.If there is no .htaccess file please create new one .
3.> .htaccess Method
php_value upload_max_filesize 64M php_value post_max_size 64M php_value max_execution_time 300 php_value max_input_time 300
If you are on a shared hosting package, then these techniques may not work. In that case, you would have to contact your web hosting provider to increase the limit for you.
4.> Use a Plugin
